Increasing region-based minimum wages from January 01, 2020

On November 15, 2020, The Government promulgates a Decree No. 90/2019/ND-CP providing for the region-based minimum wages applied to employees working under labour contracts. New region-based minimum wages:

      1. For enterprises located in region I: VND 4,420,000/month (increase VND 240,000).
      2. For enterprises located in region II: VND 3,920,000/month (increase VND 210,000).
      3. For enterprises located in region III: VND 3,430,000/month (increase VND 180,000).
      4. For enterprises located in region IV: VND 3,070,000/month (increase VND 150,000).

Minimum wages for skilled workers shall be at least 7% higher than the region-based minimum wage.
